Our first Annual General Meeting of the society will take place at the Roundhouse Community Center in Vancouver on May 01, 2009, from 2:00-4:00. We will be meeting in Room C. I hope you'll book off a bit of time after as well. I'll post a meeting agenda on Monday, but our main goal will be to finalize some business of setting up the society and to lay out our strategic plan for the first year of operation. This is a general public call to all interested in the society and in becoming members as well. Hope to see you there.

I think I'd like to spur some more discussion before the meeting, or add key items to the agenda, or have additional items to formally discuss afterwards.
I have some topics and docs and lists on my mind: see http://digitalpoetryarchive.ca/discuss for an example.
I'd particularly like to see the Open Archival Information System reference model on the agenda.
Other items (mostly obvious):
- overview of bylaws
- financial report (this will be brief!) and budget discussion, establishment of fiscal year
- membership fee and outreach
- website report and strategy discussion
- committee or team formation
- any resolutions required for organizational diligence (e.g. motion to confirm the bylaws, another for the constitution)
- next meeting date
