New Advisory Board Member and a note about Jim's presentation

By kedrick - Posted on 11 February 2009

It's my pleasure to announce that Jim Andrews has agreed to join our advisory board. Jim's work in digital poetry is stellar. If you have not done so, please check out his site at www.vispo.com and his work will speak for itself. On that note, Jim is giving a presentation on his work at the Center for Digital Media, Great Northern Way Campus of UBC tomorrow (I didn't know sooner, sorry), that's Thursday, February 12 at 10:30 AM. I'll blog an entry on it for those who cannot make it. Also kind words from Jean Baird, who is not able, owing to time constraints, to sit on the advisory board, but who is an ally of our work in preserving Can lit heritage. I hope we'll be able to share more contact with her in the future. There's a few more personnel to get in place before we get projects underway, but I hope to select a day in April when we can find a suitable venue to get together for a meet and greet, view some of Lenore's footage, and set out on this archival mission. More anon, possibly select a date by poll? Hoping all are well.

Too bad about Jean; Hilary Peach was encouraging me to invite her as some of her current projects would be relevant to us. Good news about Jim, welcome! Vispo is a revelation.
